Several ex Brazilian footballers just let themselves go after retiring.

You can't blame them really. Those that made it will be ridiculously wealthy compared to the average Brazilian and they probably sit by the pool in their mansions sipping margaritas all day while all the food they eat will be delicious takeouts packed with calories.

When you're that wealthy, no need to keep in shape to attract the opposite sex either. Money is the appeal, more so in latin america.

That's the lifeplan.... me and Meikle have a chance in rio... ?

Ronaldinho also looked a bit beefy playing for Queretaro here in Mexico. Still managed to score two goals on his debut at the Azteca against America, coming on as a sub in the 80th minute!

Dani Alves is probably the only one in recent years who has remained professional.

Our inspirational leader....

"I want to bring dignity back to the club".

Photographed asleep in a hotel room with three women of questionable repute.

"Our finishing must be much more clinical".

Blazes the ball over the bar and into row Z when clean through in a charity match with an ex-kids TV presenter in goal.

It was enough for Ed Dawes to claim Rooney should get back in the squad at Derby.
