Clubs rarely play at their own grounds so have to liaise with the owners (eg Loughborough) for when they're free. The U23 games are played on all manner of different days for no obvious reason (it's not like there's a TV schedule to accommodate). The League will surely simply say to "play the game week commencing whatever". I really don't think they mandate date and time for this. That's down to the clubs to agree. Keeper Fowkes was impressive, with one save made when the ball was seemingly already past him. Given the concerns around Roos and Allsop he might not be too far away from a call up to the first team squad. Louis Thompson was a bit disappointing, especially his delivery from set pieces. You can see he has something there to work with though. Isaac Hutchinson seemed to have the wrong studs in. Again, looks to have a touch of class about him but, as with Thompson, needs to be running the show at this level. Of the others, I'll be kind to new boy Reece Hutchinson and suggest he'll improve with a run of games. He really struggled though in truth, as did Solomon at CB. Bardell was decent enough at right back but not much happened for Agathise. I'm loathe to criticise young lads giving their best but Cybulski up top is never going to have a career in league football. We weren't dominant all half at all but had spells after they scored early (5 minutes in).
