For me its 30 years or age of 50, whichever comes first and then it gets wiped. Dunno if its still the same, but ive been paying mine for 8 years and still have £11k left (started at £23k).

If i had a sudden windfall of money it would never go to the student loan though. It would always be better to put it towards the mortgage, etc
