Brentford, play good football, consistently doing well, built a new stadium in London (cant be cheap) when others sell theirs  To survive ?

There is a way to do it in this league and i am surprised nobody has tried to copy them.

Two weaknesses with the argument

- they haven’t yet done "it" despite operating the system for some years

- their "way" may have been completely scuppered by a combination of brexit and priti patels "foreigners not welcome, I is Essex innit" policies which makes it v difficult on the face of it to bring in promising unproven youth.

But let us see how they do.

Personally don't mind either club so good luck chaps to both.

Swansea. The 6 month gushing Brentford love-in on here should they win will be more than I can bear.

Urgh... Here we go ?

Horrible isn't it.

Type of club who simply don't have a ducking thing outside of their control go against them when it matters.

You'd never see Watkins or Toney end up with a broken leg and miss 3 months of the season or anything like that.

Everything just falls into place for them with no major blows at crucial times.

Bee like Brentford......

(pun intended)

No, I don't mean their laudable, well documented and highly successful wheeling and dealing in the transfer market...

I mean the way they play. Fast passing, speed of play, speed of thought.

Great interplay. Drive forward at every opportunity. Know when to pass, short or long, when to dribble, when to hold onto the ball.

Just really attractive football.

Currently 2-0 up after 30 minutes in the playoff final. I do hope they go up.

But, more than that, this coming season, I hope we emulate the way they play.

(Having said that, they'd better not fold in the second half ?)

To the mods... Fair enough, you've merged my post into the football forum but I had intended it to be Derby County specific - it's the way I would like us to play.

We,ve had two at important times. Martin hamstring which was unfortunate and we should still have had enough to be in the playoffs. The other was Thornes broken leg When im sure we would have gone up in the playoffs. That was Wassalls fault playing him in a dead rubber so self inflicted.

You never know, they might go up and then break our record for us
