Things that are no longer part of football...

Irrcall looking at the goal at the BBG after a match in 1970.

The uprights were oval in shape and I realised that this would mean very few shots at goal rebounding into open play.

Was there a standard shape or did it vary from ground to ground?

If it did it may have given the home team a slight advantage

Or not, as the case may be!

Division 1, Division 2, Division 3, Division 4.

Simplicity is Genius.

Before corporate people ruined the game and just like in the lousy world of business these backstabbing sleaze balls in their 4x4's started calling everything with acronyms. FA, SL, PL, EFL, LAP, IDC and all the rest dressed up in their poxy suits, well they can all GTF.

Unfortunately for some of us, we have to spend the weekdays at work with these backstabbing sleazeballs that climb the ladder of wealth whilst kicking others in the privates or down to the dole queue, so their own need for greed and personal wealth grows, whilst others suffer.

And football used to be an escape from these folk at 3pm on a Saturday, but unfortunately these greedy so and so's have got their greedy grubby hands all over the working man's beautiful game.

I keep trying to keep the faith, but turning to the church instead like God's Footballer every second of the day appears to be the only way forward...........
