The football crowd seen on the front is Derby fans at Chelsea.  Last minute addition from a photo taken a week or so before the albums release in November 1980.  In other album related Derby trivia Liam Gallagher is reading a paper in the photos from Definitely Maybe with the Leicester playoff victory on the back.

Isn't the cover of one of the Oasis singles (maybe some might say?) a photo taken at Cromford Railway Station.?

It is - theres Liam waving from the bridge and Noel with a watering can.

Heres the Rolling Stones at Swarkestone on the cover of the Hot Rocks LP. Originally taken for the Beggars Banquet LP but used later on the American issue of the Greatest Hits. Think they used an internal shot from the Pavilion for the inside cover where their sat round a table though and for promotion.

@Cisse I very nearly included Glenn Miller in my selection, timeless compositions. And secondly, you know the track Only One Heart on Jimmy Nail’s album you chose, well, that my sister singing that. ?

It's a beautiful duet. It's funny that with the voice like Jimmy Nail he has made several duets that work so well. You should be proud of your sister. A lovely voice.
