vs Brummies (H) - Matchday Thread

Recommended Posts

Saturday 24th April, 15:00, Pride Park.

It's about time we had a winner starting a matchday thread.

It's also time we had a manager who can install a bit of confidence in the players.

Manager: Wassall

Assistant Manager: Mac5

Starting XI:

Roos

Byrne   Edmundson   Clarke   Buchanan

Bird

Sibley   Shinnie

Roberts   Waghorn   Lawrence

Subs: Marshall, McDonald, JBrown, Forsyth, Knight, Watson, Jozwiak, Wilson, Kazim

We’ve gone, can’t see it really matters now what team we pick. We are so poor, with even average teams like Preston beating us comfortably. Very sad times...just hope somehow we get the right manager in a la Arthur Cox and we can move forward in League 1 next season...

3 nil win if we have that pair in charge,5 nil drubbing if fat Harry white is still wandering about talking baalocks

#I honestly believe that Mac esp but even wassell could get this lot motivated within a few days and actually playing intelligible football again#

Wassall instills confidence in players, especially the youngsters. Mac gets the players enjoying their football again. A dream partnership 👌

Glass half full...

Brum - win tomorrow safe nothing to play for.

Swansea - in the play offs can't get auto can't drop out nothing to play for.

Sheff Weds - Get to last game already relegated nothing to play for.

For a team fighting for their league survival these would be dream fixtures..

Glass half empty (and sadly probably the reality right now)

Our team don't turn up...don't wear the shirt with pride...drop their heads..don't score...don't look like they give a fk...

But Preston had nothing to play for, we don’t look capable of beating anyone, we don’t look like scoring a goal...

That's why I said glass half empty seems to be the sad reality..

Roos - Byrne Edmundson Clarke Buchanan - Roberts Bird Shinnie Jozwiak - Waggy Lawrence

Go with the fluid/mobile front 4 like we did vs Luton & Norwich as that has looked better recently than when we start CKR.

I would drop Bird but we have nobody to come in there with Baningime out, Knight is poor in the 2 & I think Watson is too young and inexperienced for these crunch games. Roos was unfortunate to lose his place originally and I think Marshall deserves to be dropped .
