I’m not trying to guess Rooney’s selection, but I reckon ebosele is probably better than macdonald and mengi’s predictable loss of concentration for Readings third goal has me wondering why we don’t try our own u23 defender out (even though my hopes aren’t very high for Bateman). As for Mitchell-Lawson, we lacked energy and pace. Why not try something different. An international "break" to get players rested and recuperated and after one game back we have a full-blown injury crisis on our hands. May as well send the lads out clubbing, get a bit of positive Covid-19 testing going on and see if we can get our next couple of games postponed....... ?
