About to check "the weather" here in Spain. If it's "raining" I'll be popping over to Holland to sit in a pub there 😉. Have you checked what it's like yet?

no just been down the red light district

Come on, that wouldn't even have got a "U" in a maths exam! Yes, the starting and ending points are very similar (worse now), but the bits in the middle hardly compare.

Yeah, on one side it starts from rock bottom and gets better every season, on the other it starts from the top and gets worse and worse.

League positions over the last 2 decades. Red line is GSE. Blue line is Mel Morris.

I’m calling ******** on that blue line all it is, is a straight line from 14/15 -2021 and isn’t taking into account the other seasons positions

Erik takeover is a bit doggy.

What lead you to this opinion?

Make no bones about it, you might be right.

He doesn’t really have any pedigree as a football club owner.

Hope we aren’t barking up the wrong tree.

Mel Morris do the honourable thing and get rid of this  charlatan( ALONSO) who obviously is no good for our club. I know you want to sell our club as soon as possible but please think of what you are doing. If possible try and see if Peter Gadsby maybe interested in a local bid, people like the fake sheik and Alonso are making our club the laughing stock of English football.

From the way it was reported it was made out that the deal is final, both parties are legally committed to having to buy/sell the club and the only thing that could stop it is EFL approval. Not sure Mel can stop it without legal repercussions and he seems rather keen to get a deal across the line as soon as possible

"Alonso has privately been telling Derby’s current owner Mel Morris that he remains optimistic, but one source close to Pride Park said: ‘Alonso seemed a no-hoper from the start and there’s been no evidence he’s got the funds to do the deal.’

If that is true and most of us who have researched Alonso and Raja Sapta Oktohari        (who's OSO group is reportedly worth 200mill, so half what Mel is reportedly worth.....would you give a very significant portion of your family wealth... potentially 150m+..... to a 29yo Spanish kid who hasn't run a football club??) Could determine that it was hard to see where Alonso even had the 70mil to complete the deal never mind the extra 150 he kept talking about. If we plebians on the internet with the power of Google could smell something was off, why couldn't the Mel and the board. Is he truly that desperate that he just went with the offer that looked closest to being finalised and barely bothered to explore the 'american' or 'dream owner' offers ???

The whole thing on all sides seems off tbh.

How is going from 14th to 19th getting better?

It doesn't matter whether reporters speculate he has the money to complete the deal or not, the only people he needs to show proof of funds to will be the EFL.

Also where is the £70m coming from? The deal reported in the media the other day was £5m in cash, plus inheriting £40m of debt.

The only people that seem to actually have no idea about this transaction, unsurprisingly, are the media.

Well Alonso said on talk sport the EFL want him to pay the debt off now so want 35mil depositing in a holding account which Alonso said no too, so you would imagine the 70mil figure comes from 35 being half of 70 and the original deal being reported around 60mil plus another 10 to run the club as I understand you have to show the EFL you have enough money to run the club for 2 years as well as the money for the purchase?

I assume the EFL are also worried where this money has come from as he denies any links to Oktohari or using any money from his family.

But as I said if it's true that people In the club think he has no money, and anyone with an internet connection can see it's difficult to figure out how he got his hands on so much money then you would think the DCFC board would be suspicious after being screwed around for the previous 6 months by another guy with no money 😂
