BramcoteRam84
Once again, if this is dodgy then the EFL will stop it. Sounds like they are all over this. Let’s just let it play out. To be fair, although his club-buying fortune came from a successful ‘bet’, he had built multi-million-pound businesses before that. I believe he sold one for £20 million. And I think he was chairman of King (the company he made his massive fortune from), so it sounds like he was more than just an investor there. Doesn’t mean he hasn’t made big mistakes here, mind. JuanFloEvraTheCocu'sNesta
I don't want this Alonso chancer anywhere near our club. If the BZG takeover didn't pass the sniff test, this one definitely doesn't. It reeks. LeedsCityRam
BramcoteRam84
Question is who are the Daily Mail’s sources? This could be the American consortium stirring the pot trying to undermine his deal? That would be plausible if as believed Sam Rush is involved in that. Could be Gadsby for similar reasons? Hell it could even be Chansiri!!! Im confident the EFL have got this and if he doesn’t pass the test then he doesn’t buy the club. IF that’s happens, then there can real serious questions about Mel’s intentions and judgement here, especially if the reports are correct there is a credible consortium in the background. angieram, silhillian, DCFC1388 and 4 others 5

Daily Mail suspects he has no money, Simon Jordan supposedly has it from good sources that the guy has significant funding. Impossible to know who to believe. The specifics in the Daily Mail story this time around make it sound more believable than yesterday I guess.
Topram
If tomorrow we survive I think next year we may be in a similar position especially if Mel is still the owner we won’t have funds to spend when we most need them this summer, looks like he’s tried and failed twice to sell now he needs to actually do some homework on the potential buyer

Last we heard he was brought to the club on a sponsorship deal funded by 32Red. It may have changed, but I've heard nothing that says it has. I would not be surprised if Rooney got the gig because he was a cheap option, as we're not paying his wages. Genius if it works.
