Clarke is a colossus at the back wins every header and takes black eyes and cuts to the head in his stride best centre back in championship 

Roos was very assured tonight and gave confidence to those around him

Mengi showed what he can do but was lucky to get away with what looked like a pen ...Edmundson was solid although nearly got caught wrong side for free header in first half

Fozzy done well with some nice passes in behind 

Gregory should’ve scored

Roos - has played really well since coming back in and gave an assured performance tonight - 7 

Wisdom - Captain and organised well, caught out a couple of time but made up for it with some great defending - 6

Edmondson - This guy is going to get better, I would love to keep him, whole hearted performance - 6

Mengi - I can now see why Wayne brought him here, really good performance against a tough forward line - 7

Clarke - Mr Ronseal - does what it says on the tin, needs a goal as that all that is missing - 6

Forsyth - liked the way he got forward and always looked to play forward - 6

Shinnie - that should have been a goal, he was everywhere. he must be hell to play against - 7

Knight - tried hard, didn't give Barnsley a rest all game. the goals and shots seem to have dried up - 6

CKR - I love the way he moves position and drags defenders away, hard game for him - 6

Gregory - should have scored, his movement caused Barnsley problems - 6 

Jozwiak - best game in a long time, went for it just needs to stop falling over and shot - 6

 

Wayne - 7 - spot on tactics and they didn't like it. thought he got the Cardiff game completely wrong but not this one

Shinnie........8 The right man for such an ugly game. After a so-so first half he stepped up second half and had a shot on target and was so unlucky not to score when he hit the post and it  pea-rolled parallel to the line but stayed out. 

Knight........7 Pugnacious all game. 

CKR............8. Back to his good game. Held the line and zipped the ball about. 

Gregory......5 Fed off scraps and then missed a sitter because he has a non-footballing left foot. Oh dear!

Jozwiak......7 Very lively indeed and troubled the Barnsley backs; On a flat pitch he would've had more joy but credit for the fight and perseverance he showed. 

Strangely enjoyed a game that was made for a Sunday morning park with 22 hung-over never-has-beens. My football career came flooding back to me....

Pugnacious ...love it

Roos - 7 Commanded his box well. Looks a different player when full of confidence. Distribution (punts up field) was generally good. Could release it earlier sometimes but could tell he was waiting for the forwards to get up first rather than play the ball out to a wide man. 

Wisdom- 5  Was played as a wing back so will be judged as one. Defended OK but his distribution from the back was poor, even his clearances put us in trouble and he offered nothing going forward.  

Edmondson - 7 Defended well. The odd positioning error but solid.  

Mengi - 8 His best performance in a Derby shirt by a mile. Got caught out once or twice but recovered well. What a game to really show you can defend headers in. 

Clarke - 7 Mr solid as always. Needs to score though, we aim for his head enough at set pieces! 

Forsyth - 5 As with Wisdom, he was playing wingback. Defensively not as solid as Wisdom but offered a little more (not much more) going forward. 

Shinnie - 6 was a 5 in the first half and a 7 in the second half. Short passing needs work still and such a shame he didn’t score with that lovely shot. 

Knight - 5 Ran around a lot. Fell down a bit, offered nothing going forward or in support of the front 3. Second balls were there to be won and capitalised on but he was second to them.  

CKR - 6 Average game. A bit of petulance crept in, not a threat. 

Gregory - 3 Thought he had an absolutely poor game. He held the ball up 1 time out of 4 but his movement was either too early or too late. Get caught offside because he lacks pace and goes early or he is on heels and behind play. 

Jozwiak - 7 Thought he played well given the Wimbledon football we were playing. Constantly on the move and trying to make something happen. Was double and triple teamed and got zero support from any of the forward line or his wingback.

Roos           9 Quite possibly his best game in a Derby shirt. MOTM for me.

Mengi        8 a big improvement

Clarke       7  defensively sound, does well to win the ball at offensive corners but now needs to direct those headers in the direction of the opponent's goal

Forsyth    6  got into some good positions, but overhit a number of key passes

Shinnie    7 desperately unlucky with the shot he created from nothing

Knight      8 a good battling performance

CKR       7 competed well, but caught offside too often. Laid on a great chance for Gregory who should have scored

Gregory  5 made a hash of two gilt-edged chances

Jozwiak  8 a very good performance, always looked hungry for the ball and well up for the battle
