Men v Boys Match Ratings, deadline 5pm tomorrow

Roos- 5 Should’ve done better with a few of their goals but hard to blame him when our defence was that bad.

Wisdom- 3 Been a while since he has played at RB and it showed. Had no idea where to play or what to do.

Mengi- 4 Dreadful but he gets a higher rating because he’s young and the more experienced Wisdom and Clarke did not help him out whatsoever. Looked comfortable on the ball but positionally he was pretty poor.

Clarke- 3 One of his worst games for us. Looked off it in the last few games honestly. Could’ve given away a penalty right at the start.

Buchanan- 3 Really poor. Similar to Forest. Neutralised offensively and schooled by the opposition in defence.

Baningime- 4 He definitely tried but that’s the most I can say really. A couple of times he won the ball back well for us but mostly anonymous.

Edmondson- 3 Definitely not a centre midfielder, doesn’t know how to play there at all. Currently our midfield doesn’t know how to move, the opposition just cuts off any obvious passes to them and they’re all too lazy to move into space.

Shinnie- 4 Work rate there but his passing is pretty poor. Could’ve played in Gregory at the start but chose to play Joz instead and messed up the pass.

Jozwiak- 4 Left isolated most of the time as if everyone expected him to somehow bypass their entire defence. Was more involved than Sibley but again didn’t make much happen.

Gregory- 3 Also left isolated, he just isn't Kazim, can’t win his battles against central defenders. He’s definitely better playing off of a player like Kazim rather than playing up top on his own.

Sibley- 3 Barely touched the ball. And when he did it wasn’t great but like Jozwiak and Gregory he was left with very little options other than to run into their defenders and be dispossessed.

A quick reminder of the lower end of the marking framework

1 is the worst performance you have ever seen

2 is the worst performance of the season

3 Is terrible

4 is poor

5 is below average

6 is average

You have to say @sage - there will be a lot of fans who will find it hard pressed to actually remember a worst performance than that since the one-season wonder in the Premiership.

Roos - 7 Didn't do a great deal wrong, could've done better with 2 goals probably but still some decent saves

Wisdom - 2 Poor defensively and no attacking outlet, no idea why he was playing RWB

Mengi - 2 Poor on the ball and poor defensively

Clarke - 3 Probably his worst game this season. Lucky not to give away a penalty

Buchanan - 3 Few poor games now probably needs to come out of the team for a few games

Baningime - 4  Looked like someone who hasn't played in a year. Dont know why he played

Edmondson - 3 awful but not a CDM tbf to him

Shinnie - 4 No quality on the ball, no idea why he was marking the giant from the corner for their second

Jozwiak - 4  - No service but killed a good chance of a break by not releasing quick enough

Gregory - 5 no service at all, couldn't do much

Sibley - 5 wasn't in the game at all, no idea why he was playing on the wing

I'm not commenting on people's scores, just reminding them of the framework. Not for me to say if that is the worst performance they have ever seen from a Derby player. Many of them aren't old enough to remember Mick Coop.

Or Mikel Beck!
