Rev
It's almost like the near 1000 game difference in the experience of the respective managers made some difference?
brady1993
2 minutes ago, Chris_Martin said: yeah maybe, but he did come on with 3 other players so you can't say it was just him that changed the game. I actually thought Watson looked really good when he came on. Great movement, great energy, good passes, always looking forward. It was mostly him and Watson in conjunction that made the difference as we had a deep player looking to get us player and a more advanced player capable of finding space and creating passing angles. We could actually play through the lines.
DCFC Kicks
In hindsight, why this of all games, against the inform team in the division, not play our 2 most constant and important players in Knight and CKR? and change the defense so much? Did they just decide that they had little chance of getting anything from the game anyway so lets just use it as a chance to rest players? Annoying that this is the game Sibley returns, don't think we'll be seeing him for a while again. Feel a bit sorry for Baningime as he didn't look too bad. I never want to Edmundson in midfield ever again.

Also how long after he's gone do you continue to excuse our impotent attacking threat from central midfield and the wings by saying "Cocu coached the attacking play out of them", it's 3 and a half months later but without CKR we look just as unlikely to create something in open play as we did early on in the season. It's a valid point really. I think losing Bielik was the final nail in the coffin for any aspirations of anything than a lower table finish this season. Funny looking back on how many scoffed when his importance was in their minds overplayed. I think in fairness to both gaffers though, this is a really spineless group. You need a few warriors out there but way too many of ours just go missing whenever the going gets tough. We've had a soft centre for too long now and even when managers come and go as they have, that trait remains. I can take a losing display, no bother, but a gutless one tends to stick in my craw. That's what we got tonight I'm afraid.

Chester40
Tonight I finally saw the game through the football-hating eyes of my Mum when I was a kid. From start to finish it was awful. No build up to the game, bizaare selection, turgid passing across the back, shocking camera angle, unbelievably bad commentator, no atmosphere, conceded sloppy goal and then went ever more rapidly downhill. Just unwatchable in its limp, sluggish and half-arsed nature. Probably immaterial as we will stagger to a lower midtable finish. Still no idea what's happening with any takeover and currently very few players who I would pay to watch or get me out of my seat. Just all-round tonight I for the first time ever, literally felt 'why am I watching' and turned over. Not in anger or despair, just in realisation I was totally not engaged in it and it was incredibly immaterial to me.

Just had a look at the table for the most championship minutes of all time since 2000. Playing a lot in the Championship clearly doesn't make you a specialist as Lee Camp is number 1 with 47,000 minutes. Interesting that Keogh is ranked 4 and Marshall is ranked 3. Forest game, again I didn't celebrate the goal, I admired the finish. Both occasions I wish I had not bothered watching. Tonight, I saw enough and turned off. In general I am not enjoying football much, but Derby matches have become a slog too far.
24Charlie
1 hour ago, Tyler Durden said: What makes you think that Coventry will be a more winnable game? They'll be scrapping for their lives. Which we should of been tonight. I forgot Cardiff are the Man City of the Championship It's not what I think it's what Rooney thought. He made a decision to rest players and no matter how bad it got tonight he didn't bring Knight, Byrne or Kazim on in order to rest them for Coventry. Other Rams managers have done this and ended up losing the next one as well so we'll see what happens v the sky blues. But make no mistake this was why 5 of the 6 changes were made.
