Millenniumram
Hold up, am I remembering things right? I believe I said he’d fall out with the Watford owner and take them down. I mean... that is exactly what happened. Took a while for him to be sacked, but sure enough he was, and Watford got relegated. In fairness, he’ll probably do a decent job at this level galvanising Bristol in the short term. They’ve got a good squad to work with. A lot depends on the coaches he has with him, but if they’re the right ones, I think that’s a good appointment and they won’t be joining us in the relegation fight. TigerTedd
He didn’t exactly hit the ground running with us. If his first few games are anything like he was with us, they’ll plummet. Steve How Hard?

Ghost of Clough
I can't wait for the Bristol fans to come on to this forum after they win their first 4 games and give it the big 'un (like they did with Weimann and Martin)... ...Then fading into doing very little (like Weimann and Martin did). Saying that, I'd find it even funnier if he does even worse for them than he did for us. rynny and Day
VulcanRam
Pearson at Bristol City and now Joey Barton being appointed at Bristol Rovers. What a local Derby that would be! TuffLuff
It’s an intriguing one because his job will be one similar to the one he had coming into Derby. Said at the time it wouldn’t surprise me to see him do well at Watford, I’m not sure this job will suit him as much and I’m not convinced he will get the time to dismantle and rebuild. Could be wrong, but it doesn’t seem a good fit for me.
Jimmy Skitz
if you hire Nigel you have to let him do his thing and not interfere, he will want to make sure the scouting is how he likes it as well as the sports science side too. He's not a quick fix manager he is a reboot the set up and start again type so the owners need to have a long term plan and not a itchy trigger finger

VulcanRam
I'm actually a big fan of his and think we got rid of him too early. Still think he was what we needed at the time and could have been a success here.
Rev
According to the Athletic, in his time here he won 4, drew 5 lost 1 and left us in 10th place. Bs, won 1 game all season and left us in the bottom 3. Anon, rynny and RadioactiveWaste 1 1

Leeds Ram
He'll probably come in and do pretty well in the short term with them at the very least. His time here was absolutely disastrous but his football was completely antithetical to what we had been trying for a few years. If he had more time maybe it would have worked but you could just feel the players loathed playing that way. DarkFruitsRam7
Dimmu
I'm struggling to understand why people like him are still getting appointed. Footballers are human after all.
