Path to the playoffs

Rooney at Derby reminds me of when Roy Keane went to manage Sunderland in 2006/2007. From February onwards they only lost one game and won the league.

Rams fans will remember them losing their first five games of that season only to beat West Brom and us in their sixth and seventh games right after Keane got the job.?

If only Rooney had been manager from the start of the season, what might have been?

We are 12 points behind Cardiff and Bournemouth with a game in hand.

This weekend, Bournemouth home to Watford, Cardiff away at Boro. Tuesday we go to Cardiff.

We could be 6 points behind Cardiff and Bournemouth come Tuesday night. That might be 6 points off playoffs too.

For balance, if we don’t pick up a point in the next 2 and Barnsley win their games against Millwall and QPR we could be 17 points off the play offs...what a season.

Salute you for being a real fan .. it’s all about hopes and dreams. Of course it’s a tall order, it’s unlikely, it would be epic if we get to the playoffs. But there are still something like 35-40 points to won. That is what we have already after a car crash of a start to the season. Hell ! It could just happen. let’s just hope the team are thinking along the same positive lines.
