Carnero
I like Morgan but he doesn't strike me as Rooney's sort of player, a bit to relaxed for heavy metal football. Probably a good fee for where he's at at the moment, but Cooper & Swansea sure spot talent, hope we have a decent sell on %. r_wilcockson, Will Hughes Hair and Ghost of Clough 2
JAT
£700k with clauses is a good deal. I can’t see him breaking into the team anyway. However for other clubs it’s worth taking a punt for that amount.
DCFC1388
One of those players who will float around the first team squad or go out on loan then end up leaving on a free, may as well get some money in for him with clauses/sell on % so if he does do well we still get abit of benefit. Id imagine another winger is coming in, then with Lawrence due back Whittaker will be nowhere near it. Even JML has overtaken him. RoyMac5
A talented lad. A decent lad too it seems. Sorry that he's going but hope it works out well for him. Steve How Hard?, LeedsCityRam, Indyram and 4 others
Derbados
I never quite got the hype with Morgan. looks very lightweight at this level and he’s shirked a few tackles which is probably why Wayne is allowing him to leave.

1of4
Whittaker may turn out to be a good player but we need good players now. So if Rooney can use the money raised from the sale, to bring in players that he thinks will be of more help to lift the club up the league, that's fine by me. Leicester Ram
Disappointed with that but he’s not been anywhere near the team and if Rooney doesn’t rate him enough to keep him then we’ll take the money. Would have loved it if he’d made it with us though, all very well saying he’s not got the build but I remember Jeff Hendrick being a bit skinny one year then coming back bloody huge the next. If Whittaker bulks up, he’ll have a chance at making it. LeedsCityRam
Jase116
Always been on the edge of games, undoubtedly got talent, needs to be more physical, I honestly thought he would kick on this season, so I suppose a decent fee as long as there is add ons. Ted McMinn Football Genius
It’s a good move for the lad and money in the bank, he’s tried really hard to make his way here but alas it’s not to be. If the move goes ahead he is working with someone that promotes youth and develops them well. Good luck Morgan ?? Ramarena and Indyram
Mostyn6
If Whittaker was a few inches shorter, Derby fans would be less harsh on his development and contribution. The Key Club King, rynny and Will Hughes Hair
24Charlie
I had watched out for him when coming through the 23s and fully expected him to step up. like many have said he hasn’t taken his chance. He has not made himself undroppable by catching the eye and scoring goals. When I’ve seen him at PP I mostly recall him not chasing back much when he loses the ball not for much else. BondJovi
Bit disappointed. Though the Swansea manager clearly knows his English talent so he sees it worth a go. Think he could go on to do well. But he needs game time. 24Charlie
chadlad
Surprised with this and feel that it’s too early to make this judgement. Give him another season to develop and who knows what level he could reach. Ability wise he has a lot in his locker, I just hope we have a substantial deal, fee appearances and sell on fees. As others have said, he need to bulk up a little and have a little more aggression. A potential 20 goal a season championship striker IMO! RamLad1884
Can't remember him ever having a stand out game for us, could turn out to be a decent player but could also fall to lower league obscurity. 700k in the current climate could potentially fund a decent signing too. RIMBAUD
Good luck to him. I can’t say I’ve seen much to think he’s anything but ordinary. Atm he’s not tough enough. If rooney reckons he can go I will take that.

Ghost of Clough
.I wondered if he had a move lined up when he wasn't named on the bench today. Reasonable fee for a player who I don't think will ever suit Rooney's style. He's a forward who plays out wide- he's the sort to want to stay high up the pitch and pick the ball up in pockets around the edge of the box. It'll be interesting to see what Swansea do with him - first team, U23s or loan out
