The Liverpool game was my 18th birthday, I hadn't got a ticket but a neighbour who was a steward gave me a complimentary ticket, only problem was it was in the away end. It was at the height of the hooligan problem but I still decided to go anyway. I stood right in the middle of the scouser's not dareing to speak and I remember just nodding once when the bloke next to me asked me my opinion. They were worried when big Rog came on for Leighton James and of course he justified his super sub tag with the goal. It was difficult but I had to feign disapointment with the rest of them around me when the goal went in but inside I was secretly elated.

Only done that twice, gone in away end. 3 of us went in Kop at Sheff Wed 1990 League cup game. Deano scored and we couldn't contain ourselves. All around us they had just been bellowing 'Atkinsons Barmy Army'. Luckily escorted out by a South Yorks bobby asking us if we were looking for a good hiding. Allowed us to stay in Sheff Wed seats! 1-1 bloody freezing as usual at Sheff

1 February 1984, Derby County 3 Telford United 2, Davison 3, FAC.

Cracking atmosphere with a packed out away end. We were rather fortunate to get through as Telford came back to 2.2, then hit the inside of the post before Bobby grabbed the winner. We played them again a couple of years later and it was slightly more comfortable (6.1).
