Needed that, really needed that.

Bossman Bielik. Lower table teams like a poster has already alluded to set up to stop us playing, not caring about possession, hoping to  poohouse a goal in the last 10 mins( which they usually do) putting 2 men on The boss.

Teams like Bournemouth are looking for at least top 6, and will not lower themselves to this tactic.  This lets us play and why we are more successful against the better championship teams imo.

Great defending tonight (at times ?

COYR ?????????

Couple of nervy moments ... to be expected

Roos save crucial always been a good shot stopper it’s his command of the area and high balls where he struggles

Bielik is someone we can build this team round Clarke also a warrior Wisdom well he is ok but man does he make mistakes he’s someone we need to replace Byrne looks solid Buchanan improving more confidence left back is his to lose now Shinnie solid Knight same energy as always Jozwiak creating opportunities needs a little more composure I think Evans had his best game for us in ages maybe ever .... Kazim does a job but that’s another area we need more anonymous for long periods of time

Now let’s not go to the next match and perform like we did against Rotherham

Roos save saved the day but we have had four goals.

We are worse than the bottom 3 but better than the top 6.

That made me laugh out loud. It’s exactly right. We look great against the top sides and truly dreadful against the lower.

Colonel Buzzkill asks: Why is that spirit missing against relegation rivals?

Because we were recovering from Covid?

Also we have played better (after the first 3 games) against footballing teams. it suits our pressing game.

3 points in the 6 games vs the rest of the bottom 7.

10 points in 5 games vs the top 4 or 14 points from the 8 games vs the top 7.

Bonkers Clive.

Maybe we prefer to play against sides that want to play more open football?

GET THE DUCK INNNNNNNNNNNNN

Jesus Christ that last 15 minutes was nerve wracking, pretty much one long panic attack. Seriously wish Rooney would actually use his bench a bit more, but it worked with those out there tonight fortunately.

Boy did we need that result with everything that’s going on. Throughly deserved it too. Our fight and work rate was absolutely outstanding, total turnaround from Saturday really. Battled for every ball, especially the midfield two who were fantastic, and our pressing was much improved too. Forced errors out of them which led to us creating a good number of chances. With better quality in the final third, we could have scored more. We still seriously need to improve in that regard if we’re going to survive, desperately need some transfers.
