Right or wrong, earlier this season, i was thinking we should just play the kids. Now that's happening, im looking forward to seeing what our academy has to offer. Im also going to buy a virtual ticket to help Chorley, i would have gone to this, if we were allowed.

I just don't want bits kicked out of them

Wow.

So more likely

Idem/Yates/Foster

Bardell Solomon Wassall A Brown

Thompson Bateman

Wilson Olamide Hutchinson

Cresswell

Bench from GK, Dixon, Aghatise and anybody who is fit.

Looking at a couple of players who have trained with the first team/played in preseason matches, Hutchinson who has played a few league games, and a couple who have had loans right down the leagues.

I think we might see 1 or 2 of the others as we don't know who is training with who. I can't see Duncan and Brown necessarily being with first team as neither would be near the bench at the moment. Not sure what Ibe's disciplinary means - could be training with 23s or told to stay away.

Maybe we'll emergency loan a keeper?

One thing is for sure it will be interesting to see, but also a very big ask. Throwing a choice couple in would have been okay, but if we're talking potentially 11 debuts. The stage is set for for someone to shine and get nearer the first team picture. Wilson possibly the most likely for me.

Our squad numbers are going to hit the 70s this season.

Idem was sat by the bench at Sheffield Wednesday.  They take 3 keepers to away games in case of injury as specialist position.  Can't see him playing.

Am I virtually correct in thinking that this virtual ticket, being virtually offered by Chorley, virtually for this single game, is merely a virtual charity donation to the club, as opposed to being a virtual payment for a virtual service of some sort?

Is it not therefore virtually no different to the longer-running crowd funder they also have, with the exception being that the virtual ticket is a fixed-price donation?

... Or am I virtually missing something?

Can anyone virtually confirm?

Idem and Foster are also regular trainers with the first team due to acting as 3rd choice GK on matchdays. Mitchell-Lawson seems like another from the U23s who had been training with the first team, although you haven't listed him. I doubt we'll loan in a keeper just for this one game either.

I don't think Ibe's punishment involves training with the U23s. Duncan and JBrown have often been seen in the training pics.

In reality, I think we'll be picking from the following (excluding possible injuries):
GK: Sykes-Kenworthy, Yates, Halwax
RB: Ebosele, Bardell
LB: Archie, Grewal-Pollard
CB: Wassall, Minkley, Bateman, Solomon
CM: Dixon, LThompson, Hutchinson, Ibrahim, Aghatise
W: Shonibare, Wilson, Borkovic, Williams
CF: Cresswell, Cybulski

I'm 99.99% certain it's a virtual donation rather than a virtual streaming ticket. I think a few have been misled into thinking they'll get to watch the game virtually.

Either way, I've spent my pocket money allowance on a crowd fund donation ?

Be interesting to see who we go with to start for this one (or who's actually available!)

In goal, I would have gone with Idem... however he seems to be part of the team that travelled to the last game. So many of our outfield U23s have been training with the first team as it is so we're a bit limited! IMO (without knowing the full situation) this is probably the best team we can put out:

Sykes-Kenworthy
Bardell, Solomon, Wassall, A Brown
Ibrahim, Thompson, Hutchinson
Wilson, Cybulski, Borkovic

Still a lot of talent in that side (albeit an inexperienced one) and I hope they can give a good account of themselves against a Chorley side that will be seeing this as an ideal chance to progress to the next round. COY(Young)R ?

Its usually 10£ a home game to watch the clubs live stream.

The club cannot show it live due to BT contract for the match .

They are just asking for donations has it's 1st time they have ever reached round 3 and and trying make most out of the match with no fans

Superb response by the Derby County supporters

I am sure there was a thread on here once where we made a team from forum members...?

Maybe you can send that in to the club @David

Tell them I am fit and raring to go...prefer to play right back, will bomb up and down the line all game, size medium for the shirt and I have my own boots....(but if the pitch is really wet I could do with some proper studs size 11)

and right now.....would even take a cold afternoon in Chorley over whats happening over here!!

Southampton’s FA Cup third-round game at home to Shrewsbury Town will not take place as scheduled this Saturday.

Saints received notice of the decision from the Football Association this morning, after a number of Shrewsbury players and staff members tested positive for Covid-19.

A meeting of the FA’s Professional Game Board will take place early next week to make a decision as to what will happen with the fixture.

Saints said they will update supporters as soon as they have any further information, and sent their best wishes to the players and staff affected at Shrewsbury, wishing them a speedy recovery.

I guess Shrewsbury don't have u23/u18's? Or they are prepared to accept that they may have to forfeit?

Is Mitchell Lawson injured I do not see anyone mentioning him has part of the team.

Think he went back out on loan, might be wrong

A forgotten man due to his loan in the first half of the season. I believe his loan had ended and was involved in first team training.
