Here,s me thinking this year cant be as bad as 2020 If that is what Man City agreed as part of the loan agreement how is that "holding Man City to ransom"? It's just expecting a much richer club to fulfil the contractual obligations they agreed previously Carl Sagan, Tamworthram, 86 Hair Islands and 1 other

City were paying a 500k loan fee this month and were happy to do so when they did the loan deal. Change it to a transfer fee then there is no issue. Tamworthram

But when that business tried to get the money to pay these wages, from the richest club in the world, you think it is holding them to ransom? Strange. Man City sense an opportunity to try and get a player cheaper from a club in trouble, so they want to rip up the existing deal! 86 Hair Islands, RadioactiveWaste and Tamworthram

Current situation: Man City give us £500k to continue loaning Carson for the rest of the season. We continue to pay his c£20k pw wages. Man CIty's proposal: Nothing up front, they pay his wages for the rest of the season. Over a 6 month period, there is no difference between the two options. However, only one option (the current one) which helps our club when we need the cash most. As I can't see them sulking and ending the loan early, I see there being three possible resolutions. The loan deal continues as planned They pay a small transfer fee as a compromise (say £250k) They pay a small transfer fee, and we cover some of the wages for the rest of the season Carnero

If he signs a transfer deal now he may well be entitled to a loyalty bonus which we can’t afford under his contract so we may well be better off carrying on with the loan then releasing him when his contract ends - pounds shillings and pence it seems
Kinder 1,837
From the interview with Rooney on Radio Derby after the game, it doesn’t sound like the players have been paid yet. Fair play to them for coming out and putting in that performance in spite of this. 👏👏👏 GermanRam, IslandExile, 86 Hair Islands and 5 others 5 2

Terrible times at the football club so it was all the more a tremendous performance by the players to beat Bournemouth tonight. But as we head into late January it's frightening we haven't paid December wages and of course remain embargoed for good measure. It’s there monthly wages they haven’t been paid Decembers and now haven’t been paid January’s. considering Pearce said number 1 priority was paying the players the same outcome as the takeover from this sheikh and that its amateur and ridiculous you still haven’t paid the players RoyMac5

EraniosSocks 935
What I don’t get is, has Morris turned into poverty overnight or? I know we are hoping to sell but surely he has the money behind him to continue running the club. Or am I being the stupid? The latter is more than likely
BathRam72 2,555
Makes you wonder what makes the guys keep going. This must be affecting them and probably goes a long way into explaining the odd form. I am sure they are professional enough to play for the club but it is the Club or owners that are letting them down So very frustrated at DCFC right now.
