Yeah, people need to try and keep up with the fast changing news in the football world, before calling out posters. I still think Rooney is doing a reasonable job, but until such time he is or isn't confirmed as permanent manager. It would be foolhardy to dismiss out of hand someone like Bilic if he was available, as he has proven record of taking failing teams, making them better and getting them promoted to the Premier League.

Believe it or not, there are other sources of reliable information out there, other than the usual supposed itk contributors ?

I disagree with Bilic, if we’re going to appoint our next manager, it needs to be someone who’s been interested for some time, January will be crucial and we need someone who can come in, assess the squad and already have players in mind who they feel would improve the squad. Otherwise if, say, we appoint Bilic, he’s got a couple weeks before Jan and we’ll end up only having a small idea of who would improve the squad.

Get Eddie Howe in.

I’m sold on Bilic, perhaps even Igor as his number two to reunite from their Croatia days.

I can but dream.

That's an interesting proposition. Igor's presence would energize the fanbase. And Bilic knows the Championship which helps him bed in quickly.

I'm not sure if Igor would energise the wider fan base. He only played 84 games and that was 20 years ago.

The best way to energise the fan base is to obviously get results and play good football. Any excitement generated by appointing an ex-player would soon disappear if we continued to struggle. Conversely, it doesn't matter if the manager/assistant manager has only ever played for Forest. If he is a success then his playing career and links to Derby or other clubs becomes irrelevant.

Surely Igor's very poor track record as a manager is more important than his presence??
