Gaspode
Peter Alliss “The voice of golf” passed away at the age of 89. I’m not a fan of golf, but I’d watch it when Peter was commentating - one of the greats. Remember his classic line after a streaker was tackled to the ground by a British Policeman and the chaps modesty was covered by the policeman’s helmet: “My, oh my. What a big, big fuss to make over such a little, little thing."
ketteringram
One of the greats . Like Benaud with cricket, Peter Jones with football, or Bill McLaren with Rugby.

Hathersage Ram
Yes his commentary was masterful and I liked his one liners "built for comfort and not for speed" being one of them. May he rest in peace in the middle of lush fairways
