Any decent manager/coach would tell their forwards when Clarke’s looks like he’s getting the ball, close down Marshall because it’ll be going back to him. Wisdom has only won 36% of his aerial duels this season. I really rate his passing at CB and he never get dribbled past but if we're going to play with short fullbacks then the 2 centre halves need to dominate in the air. We'll be back in 81 Posted December 3, 2020 Share Posted December 3, 2020 The problem with the Cocu system is that we do not have two wide players good enough, Jozwiak is one but no one else on the other side, even though Kazim Richards has come in and shown how useful it is to have that hold up striker, I think he should have been in weeks earlier. So the only chance we have is to change the system to two up front, like we did the other night and then scored. So I would try 4-4-2 as follows and try Byrne as wide right, he did put the cross in with his left foot for Richards to score. Or even a 5-3-2 system as long as we have two up front. It has got to be worth a try because the current system has not worked for a long time now.
