Stephen Bywater for me, am a real fan of his artwork as well.

shame he was useless! For years, the keepers of the relegated sides came out of it smelling of roses. Not sure Bywater was ever even man of the match once.

Page 3, and still no mention of Neville Southall.

As for Derby, Martin Taylor, oh what could have been.

Martin Taylor was a superb keeper, unbelievably brave, strong, athletic. Had his career ruined by a murderous challenge by Dave Regis at Southend?

Someone did his knee, I'm unsure who.

My five fave goalies who I saw play:-

Colin Boulton

Gordon Banks

Peter Shilton

Ray Clemence

Pat Jennings

No matter who won, drew or lost these were worth the entrance fee alone!

Others worth a VERY honourable mention from the golden era

Bob Wilson

Peter Bonetti

David Harvey

and who could forget.............

Gary Sprake (answer most Leeds supporters!)

I still have a soft spot for Alex Stepney after he through the ball to Charlie G to score a last minute winner at home to Manure

Stepney is a good shout, you could mention a few more of that era, Joe Corrigan, Gordon West, some top keepers early 70's!

John Osborne at West Brom who played with an arthritic finger I recall and both the Phil Parkes were decent

I remember him being injured and Tony 'bomber' Brown going in goal for the rest of the game. He kept a clean sheet and laughed when the Captain said "Come on Trautman!" (He played on in a cup final with a broken neck!.)
