Curtains
I mean Derby fans are very vocal and passionate. I think it’s helping the away teams.
jimbo jones
Certainly, but everyone’s in the same boat.
Mucker1884
I'm not convinced we are "Very vocal and passionate". Not compared to others? My own personal opinion is that we are bang average, when it comes to home support. And certainly when playing teams who traditionally take a decent following with them, I'd suspect it is they that are at a disadvantage (currently), for as we all know, 99% of away fans (including our own) seem to keep chanting and backing their team for the whole game, often out singing home fans, so the likes of (this season) Brum, The Dogs, Wendies, Stoke (Plus the Dirties last season), would all prefer a usual capacity, and their own usual away support? Coneheadjohn
If you could leave the East Stand empty it would be ok. That’s where I sit ?
rustylee
Im sure I read on here that we were toxic and harming the team by not getting behind them.
Curtains
Just now, rustylee said: Im sure I read on here that we were toxic and harming the team by not getting behind them. Right but we have to have fans and they have to back the team
GenBr
It's no more a disadvantage for us than it is for any other team in the division. In any case it would have just been constant booing for most of this season, so I don't really think it would have helped the team much.
Millenniumram
Right now I don’t think it’s a particularly bad thing that the fans aren’t in there. Imagine the boos at some of the recent performances!
kash_a_ram_a_ding_dong
It's been proven in tests that the home advantage comes from the fans influencing the referee and linesmen not from boosting players. And everyone is in the same boat. No need to keep inventing excuses for Cocu now,it's done.
Ghost of Clough
I have no doubt that our players thrived from having the fans which helped motivate them. Our performances without fans pre-covid has been bad for a nukber of years... just look at our away results.
