It's getting to the point where football is changing so much that it's almost unrecognisable from the game I fell in love with - badly implemented VAR; questionable handball rules; non-contact tackling; 5 subs (for now).....etc. Not sure I care for it anymore.

When this pandemic is over and clubs see a big drop in matchday crowds, perhaps they'll realise that they should be listening to the fans rather than the wealthy owners.....

Don't like this at all. It will change the course of individual games far too much. You're effectively bringing half a team off the bench.

The other problem with this is that is that it favours the better teams with bigger squads, allowing them to bring more top players off the bench. It makes the gap in quality even bigger and will overall just dilute the competition.

Well said I am in total agreement and personally I wish we still had the time when you weren’t allowed any or at a push just one !

Cancelled my BT Sport already, Sky COULD be next, Season Ticket on hold, I never went too re new, So this season is a wash as it is.

Never have I been so disinterested in the game I once played and Loved, Times change I guess...? Se La Vie

I think it’s the right move personally, as a temporary measure for the next year. The fixture schedule is definitely busier than it’s ever been, so we need to put something in place to reduce the number of injuries. It’s not really been a problem for us, because our players haven’t even been trying, but for most teams I’m fairly sure I read there’s been a big increase in muscle injuries. Allowing more subs will mean less players have to play the full 90, which should reduce muscle fatigue, and help keep players fully fit.

I hear you. Also just realised how expensive BT Sport is. Daylight robbery. I am sure when I took it out it was a tenner.  The feckers keep upping it year on year.
just cancelled.

Do you want to put money on them agreeing to go back to 3 subs next season?
Once this changes it will be permanent - and the way things are going they’ll be pushing for a bigger bench and wanting to bring in specialist free kick and penalty takers in a few years.... we’re on the slippery slope and it doesn’t end well for anyone other than the big clubs
