I still worry the writing is on the wall for the bloke and he will leave in the international break

I hope he doesn’t and his demeanour hasn’t exactly screamed “I know I’m leaving” but seems likely with new owners

( IF ) we win , it would be easy to say  IT MUST HAVE BEEN COCU,S FAULT ...

but as your aware we have Won just the once this season with his presence their .

I think everyone on this forum  would take a win of any sort 1 - 0 ..3 - 2 ..5-  0  etc ... To me it's irrelevant pertaining Cocu  win lose or draw as in the next two weeks he will be gone

Not saying this will happen. A year ago Southampton lost 9-0 and were in the bottom 3. I saw no way back for the manager. But here they are top of the league.

Football is a funny old game, we are due something lucky.

Ironically I watched the highlights of Saints v Newcastle this morning  ..

And also watched their 9 - 0 defeat at home to Fester last year ...yes football is a funny old game  whom would have thought Villa would put 7 passed Liverpool ..

and the Championship is no different ?

Apologies if I've missed any announcement, but with Cocu not being here for this one, do we know who's taking charge for the game today?

Rosenior is taking charge for this game. Cocu still picked the team though, but dont know if that means he picks the tactics as well

Now, in the unlikely event anybody pays attention to my posts, then I’m usually  on the positive side of things and will generally take issue with hyperbole and unfair negativity and criticism.

I haven’t really bothered trying to argue the toss with people wanting Cocu out (both the reasoned or ranting arguments) because it’s difficult to make a case in favour for Cocu remaining. I’m a realist.

While I myself would probably persevere, that’s mainly because I really want him to succeed. I genuinely believe that in the (very) long term he could do wonderful things.

However, there comes a time that, even if you win a game or two in a row, there is a general malaise over the team and the club which just won’t budge. I think we’re at that stage now. Morale and confidence seems rock bottom, can’t really see how that will change. Cocu is a dead man walking I’m afraid.

It’s a big shame, but I think he’s gone whatever happens.

Convincingly, with positive attacking football, is that a plus or minus for Cocu?

Bearing in mind he is not there to take credit or blame perhaps.

Cocu will be open to criticism if we lose, and consequently should take the plaudits if we win. As was the case over the previous weeks, the team is prepared and set up well in advance of the game, and all under the stewardship of Cocu.

Unfortunately, supporters are so embedded in their negative mindset a positive result will be attributed to the kitchen cat rather than Cocu.
