This club man... you honestly couldn’t make this poo up anymore!

Probably means all 3 of them will end their respective reigns at Derby County in self isolation! What a way to go... ironically after they were all probably in contact during a meeting to discuss sacking Cocu. Unbelievable.

Well, those who thought the QPR game would be Cocu’s last will probably now be proven right, in very bizzare circumstances. Poor bloke doesn’t even get a chance to say goodbye. It really hasn’t worked out for him here, no luck at all. Just hope his staff at least get a win for him on Saturday to leave on a high note. Be interesting to see how the players cope with the whole situation. Most importantly, hope everyone is ok.

Wasn't the watch bearer the brother of Rooney's agent? The agent that Pearce would have to negotiate with on a manager's contract?

And doesn't 2+2=73 ?

I could make this one work...

So the watch bearer was Josh Bardsley and his brother is Phil Bardsley. Phil wasn’t in Burnley’s squad for the last few weeks so could have been in isolation/negotiating with Pearce...the plot thickens.

SO did he go and cough all over the EFL board whilst pitching the takeover?

Imagain the harm to football that could be prevented if the EFL executive all self isolate for 2 weeks?

Great point that...

Wasn't our takeover hearing with the EFL today? Surely Stephen Pearce was in attendance!

The EFL meetings lately have been remotely done.

I had it wrong about Rooney's agent then? Ok sorry.

Why would we be talking to Phil Bardsley though?

You got me, no idea why anybody would want to speak to Phil Bardsley. Although his missus is a good watch on that Cheshire Housewives programme!

Stephen Pearce has tested positive for Covid so Cocu and Mel are both having to self-isolate for 14 days!

I thought someone posted earlier today that.... following the meeting with the board PC took training today? If this is indeed the case then the whole squad so now be isolating for 14 days!

It could be argued that the majority of our side have been isolating for the majority of this season thus far.

You couldn’t make it up! Does anyone think that the coaching staff are going to approach this game any differently to how Cocu has though? I’m not so sure. They will know how he wants the team to play, he’s even said that Twan and Chris know his methods so they can all work better.

The only possible difference could be timing and choice of substitutes. This could still have an impact on the match, I suppose

Play the under 23s. They may be more enthusiastic at least.

Terminus in absentia

Even the ancient Romans had a phrase for it!

Nil desperandum Philip!

The Rams have the best script writers and they will surely become Sci Fi best sellers. Everything is plausible at Pride Park. Events are far more interesting than the football.
