Indeed, but our costs will be very low as 100k a year is max salary. We can hopefully have enough left over to pay 3 million a year for 5 years (squad of 30 pros).

Hopefully TV revenue would be enough to cover other costs.

Ok and anyway salaries should come down this summer as a result of covid

Cant help thinking a consortium of MM, Wayne and his buddies plus some fan crowdfunding would be a decent short-medium term fix. Not that much capital is needed if MM sits on his loans ffp limits the scale of the investment. But ultimately we want to be owned long term by a billionaire with big cahones

If we built a team good enough to go up, we'd have a chance of staying up. So many average teams up there made up of crazily high salaried players. Sheff Utd showed last year what a proper team can do vs expensive misfits.

If we did go up though, or we started to make profits, that money could be used to increase the wages. Make it massively performance based too. Could have a team of hungry kids on 100k knowing their salary would be 1 million if we go up. They would run through walls.

Why don't we do what that Yorkshire Steakhouse chain did and threaten all staff on furlough with the sack if they didn't make the company a 10% interest free loan from their pay to keep the business going? Always a winner isn't it.

Like Morris could write to all season ticket holders and say they need to give him a 10% interest free loan to keep the club going or face being banned from the ground, all future season ticket holders would be threatened with the same sanction.

On reflection probably not a very good idea ?

I think Mel has already taken a 10% loan off season ticket holders that he seems very reluctant to pay back hasn’t he. 1 year on and still waiting!

Your plan falls down on the first line,we don’t have 25000 season ticket holder’s and the ones we do have the majority do not pay £600

The plan sounds good in a land of fairy stories, In reality it's fraught with disaster, How many of the 25000 will want to be on the board, How many want to go in the changing rooms after a bad defeat to tell them **** ******* ****,  The West stand blaming the East stand, The South stand blaming the North stand, The North stand all walking out because of the bad language, Waiting in line for a halftime pie and drink and having a disagreement with the staff then saying to them...do you know who I am...lol, Ronnie Pickering right.

Far far too many ego's for this to move forward...good idea tho ?

At least we'd have no one else to blame! Guess we could vote people onto a board who make the decisions though.

A bit like Barca?

Maybe a vote every 4 years for a President who'd run the club according to their manifesto.

Do you think B4 has the energy to do fifteen straight terms?

Yes, but hopefully without all the money that goes along with it. We'll be buying no one (for money) and have one set wage, and finances would be totally transparent to everyone. The main decisions would be who to appoint as manager/coaches (ideally always recruiting from within on long contracts with capped wages), when to sell our players for big money if needed and when to raise wages in response to success.
