Can you still love your club if it's being run by people involved in the running of states in which human rights abuses regularly take place? Some people won't care, some will. It's a complex question. Winning at any cost isn't of any interest to me. I'd rather thar our club wasn't a PR vehicle for that sort of state, if that meant not winning a few trophies then so be it. Aren't we being a touch judgemental about a takeover we know nothing about,by a bloke we know nothing about, from a country we know virtually nothing about? I hate Nicola sturgeon but i don't blame the entire population of Scotland for her or think everyone else there dresses up as a schoolboy for fun like her. WystonRam
We can have the richest owner in the world, but spending money on good players is the most important thing.(In my opinion)

Difference is this dude is part of the ruling family of the country - So it's the equivalent of, I dunno any SNP politicians - But one of Sturgeon's right hand people, part of her leadership team
Marriot Ram99
I'm undecided on this. Mel Morris has the right intentions seems a decent guy but has ultimately been a failure and at the moment the decision he made to appoint Cocu is looking a very bad one and pretty much every decision he has made in hind sight has not worked out. Saying that I'd rather Derby be a terrible league 1 club and atleast be a local team rather than the new Man City with plastic fans, a new stadium full of tourists and crap atmosphere and no local players. Also if the owner has dodgy principles and morals and has middle age ways of treating people then I'd rather be a team that's in league 1 or a rubbish championship side than have some dodgy ducker come in who may equally be unsuccessful, at least Morris has the right intentions.
