If we are languishing near the bottom at the end of the season with no real sign of improvement, I’ll understand the calls for a new manager. Not yet. We need to be patient

I can't see him getting until the end of the season if we are 'languishing'. The call to be patient will only last so long - it's nearly up I think. He has to be able to make the best of what is available - or made available - by compromising. Was Colin really the 'best' we could sign? Is '5 plus 2 cdms' really the only way to stop us losing? Cocu might prefer us to win games and score for fun with an 'Invincible-like' defence, but how much has he shown he can do that in the Championship? So I agree with some of what you say, but ...

Realistically once these questions start getting asked then it's a matter of when not if. People are vile, certainly in my experience and Derby fans can be horrible Bamfords, so the writing is on the wall.

Best we start planning for a replacement. Although, we all know that it will be Rooney plus another, so.. yeah. It is what it is.

We need a battler who can work with limited resources. I’ve watched enough football to realise what’s materialising here. I think cocu s a half decent manager but he’s way out his depth in trying to stabilise a club that is in transition. His ridiculous conviction to his style will relegate us.

Not like we’ve been more direct the last two games or anything

How in any way is it "vile" to want a manager sacked, Cocu is your uncle and I claim my £5.

Seriously,  if a team achieves pathetic results no matter what the circumstances are and at a club of our size at this level then you don't get long to change things. I'd say 2 more games without a win and he's a goner.

There’s plenty more you could add to that Venn diagram

Such as those that wouldn't sack him if we were bottom at Christmas just for a bit if stability and to get behind his "long term project".

Long term project to get the fans going to Accrington Stanley first game post restrictions more like.

I’m not sure you can connect the two in the same plane.

There is ways and means, casual xenophobia calling him a Dutch banker along with other insults isn't the way to go.

Then if the new Manager starts poorly how long do you give him ? At some point the merry go round has got to stop and we be patient and give a Manager some time?

It won't get that far if we languishing near the bottom of the table at the end of the season believe you me. And who are you to say what we need to do? The decision if it's taken will be out of your hands and I guarantee you won't be consulted on it in the same way everyone else on the forum won't be either.

I wouldn't condone any of that and have not seen it, but I think there's nothing wrong with not having belief in him and wanting him gone.
