Critchley hits the wining runs to get exactly 15 not out and exactly 1000 runs, only the 5th batsman to do so this season.

a nice little 4 not out for Du Plooy as well.

Poor Harry Came out for 4 leaving one I’m not sure he’d leave in normal circumstances, after hitting a 4 and being in danger of ruining it for Critchley.

It's quite scary that Derbyshire had the second highest batting points and Sussex the best!

Hah yeah, the 5 from the Sussex game helped bump us up.

I believe Sussex had a few good 1st innings scores, followed by second innings collapses Derbyshire would have been proud of.

Matt Critchley getting accolades all over the place. Think the only team of the year he's not in, is the BBC one votes by fans...because fans are stupid.

Named as one of the 5 county cricketers of the year.....

He's not playing for us next year is he? ?

Correct - He could double, if not triple his salary elsewhere.

The ECB doing something that makes sense is a big ask...

The "non-playing" 9th teams in a week could play each other in a friendly or even a match where if 2nd div beats 1st div extra points are awarded.

In fact if it's to be split 8 - 10 then the top division should be the one with less teams to increase the overall standard of player not dilute it!

Ridiculous.

I'm sure it used to be 8-10 the other way round at one point. It's hard to keep up with all the tinkering though.
