Mihangel
v Somerset in the RLC today, hopefully an improved performance, let's get 300+ on the board to stat with.... RadioactiveWaste

jimbo jones
Superb 100 partnership from Hudson-Prentice and Guest, after we made a mess of the start. Mihangel
jimbo jones
Hudson-Prentice out in the 90’s, which is a shame as he was looking very good. Probably the best I've ever seen him bat. Ball seemed to surprise him off the pitch.
jimbo jones
298 all out, lovely cameo of 6 hitting by Rampaul at the end. Probably below par, losing too many soft wickets doesn't help us being able to push over 300.
jimbo jones
Somerset win with 2 overs to spare. A bit short on the runs, but we've batted better than I expected in the first 2 games. The bigger issue for me is we aren't troubling the opposition batsmen with the ball much at all. RadioactiveWaste
jimbo jones
Squad for Warwickshire game tomorrow. Warwickshire have also lost both of their opening games. Assuming he’s fully fit I hope Scrimshaw gets a game, see if he can build on his good form in the T20’s. I don’t think we need to play 3 spinners. jimbo jones
Delayed start, Godleman done his groin in the warm up and is out....you couldn’t make it up. Hughes is back and will captain the side. Priestly is in for Thomson which is a weird one, thought Thomson has looked to be getting better with both bat and ball....then again he’s probably injured ?♂️
jimbo jones
Connor Marshall was the player who replaced Godleman. Replace the opening batsman with a leg spinner....sums up our non existent batting depth.

Mihangel
It's all so painful to watch, we are shambolic - We actually have one of the more experience teams playing and we'll still get walloped.

From the teams I’ve seen across the competition I wouldn’t say that’s true, most teams are a mix of youth and very senior players, and a couple that would be considered in their prime. Our biggest problem is no batsmen, only Came and Wood can be considered specialist batsmen in this team.

Sorry, that's incorrect (not the 'getting walloped' bit). 5 of Derbyshire's best 6 batters in one day cricket are Billy Godleman, Leus Du Plooy, Wayne Madsen, Matt Critchley and Harvey Hosein. All are missing through either injury or the Hundred.
