I enjoy peas cold as part of a salad but hot peas are a weak vegetable option and lower my opinion of any restaurant that deigns to serve them.

Mushy peas are only okay with fish and chips.

Marrowfat?

Never really have that option. Don't tend to go with tinned veg.

Can someone contact @DarkFruitsRam7 please? I am worried about him. He’s given me a load of angry faces for not liking mushy peas and soggy roasties. That can’t be right. The guy has lost the plot and I am worried he will do something stupid like not having a pot noodle tonight.. #prayfordarkfruitloop

I can accept someone disliking mushy peas. They’re so so to me, only particularly nice when mixed with ketchup.

Chips and gravy were a delicacy I only began to appreciate during my first year at uni. Fried chicken, peri chips and gravy from Allen’s in Fallowfield at 3am after a night out while watching something on Netflix in my room was just pure bliss (in lieu of a successful night on the pull).

As for not having gravy on roasties...that’s just plain weird.

And for your information, I’m about to cook a stir fry! Even if it is from an Uncle Ben’s jar.

So my wife’s delicious spinach pea and feta salad wouldn’t go down a bomb then ?

Shouldn't that be "in loo", in your case?

You went on the pull in Fallowfield ?

now then young man .. you don’t need uncle bens sauce for a good stir fry

garlic, chilli, ginger .. all chopped / sliced

a little oil (veg or olive) Plus a little more oil - toasted sesame

get the pan stinking hot

meat and / or veg of your choice.

rice or noodles

Give the  chilli garlic ginger and meat a head start and add the veg as you go on. Make sure you stir and toss (no vulgar jokes please) adding a few dashes of soy sauce as you go on. Noodles or precooked rice add near the end with a final splash of soy

I’ve no idea where Fallowfield is?

do you hate me?

Sort of on the way to Oxford road just outside city centre south - Manchester. Student land. Lots of takeaways and interesting ethnic food influences. Lively and other things too

(or at least it was 40 years ago ?)

I’m sure that will be a lot nicer than my version, but yours takes far longer.

Diced chicken, jar/sachet of sauce and a pack of frozen vegetables. Bosh.

A mere fraction of the prep work thereby leaving far more time for, what was it, 'a successful pull in the loo'?

An FA Cup Final was played there.

I love peas me.
My idea of a decent restaurant is one where they come out banishing a big spoon and say ‘ anyone want seconds?’

Its only ever happened once.
