Article in the Times this morning says we offered 2M under Steve Mac, he wanted to come but he went to Brentford for 1.8M  after Paul Tisdale his manager told him the style of football played by Derby would not suit his game. Shame.

Does not compute.

What sort of football did Tisdale think we played under McClaren?

Bloody hell he made Tom Ince look a world beater, and Watkins is three times the player.

Mika Väyrynen was close to signing at least twice... first of these cases was bit of a mystery. Even the player himself doesn't know why the deal didn't get over the line. Everything was agreed but Derby postponed the deal. Publicly it was said he had calf injury.

He certainly had his share of injuries but still it was a huge miss. He was hell of a player in his prime before the injuries ruined his career.

This one was so close that he was actually rostered to Derby on PES 2008.
