That back three sounds good (I like Evans) but I haven't seen te Wierik play yet. The queston is, is he better than Wisdom? Rest of the team picks itself at the moment. Rest of the team picks itself at the moment. te Wierik is more likely to start based on match fitness, I'd argue. Don't think he's as physical as Andre (who is?), but is a bit better on the ball. True, just looking at each position thinking how little competition there is. Obviously it's exaggerated by it being a team of 2nd choices but just made me think that if over the season a couple of those positions drop to 3rd choice then that might be Cocu himself getting the boots on. I think we have suffered in recent seasons by having the likes of Jozefzoon, Camara, Blackman, Bennett, Whittaker (based on his performances not his potential) Anya etc providing competition and cover. It's left us over reliant on our first choice attacking midfielders including loaning players in. I don't think we look any better. Worse if not the same. I hope Cocu is able to bring some in. I don't mean to slate Lawrence, Holmes or Marriott off but between their end product, inconsistencies, disciplinary and injury records I just don't feel confident about a 50 game campaign. Not blaming anyone (except maybe the efl). We're suffering from previous years. I think Rowett had much better attacking options which annoys me. And bloody Clement with his splurge.
