I remember I was working for Webb when he sued the DET for libel. They published a scathing/accusing article about him and his activities as a board member at Wilmorton College.

I had to take the settlement cheque along with a paying-in slip from Webb's personal paying-in book. He didn't let me take the whole book to the bank. I remember working out it would have taken me over 90 years on the salary he paid me to earn the amount he was given for being called a crook!

It was his fault I became a hooligan because he forced me to travel by train and drink with older lads.?
