That’s like saying we should play Davies instead of Wisdom because Wisdom can also play right back, we’ve seen Evans play well at centre half on multiple occasions. I don't agree. I'm saying you pick specialist players for specialist positions. Evans had one good game against Bristol City and has been a bit part player ever since. Curtis Davies is a former international who plays centre half. He may not be first choice but has always been Cocu's go to when we have needed to boost our defence. He’s been solid in nearly every game he’s played CB for us. He’s far more suited to our style of play than Davies is, and I think he should replace Wisdom. It’s been utterly bizarre. I don’t think we have much choice but to go with something like this now: Hamer Bogle Davies Clarke Forsyth Bird Rooney Waghorn Sibley Holmes Martin Having to play Davies instead of Wisdom definitely weakens us, especially in terms of pace, but I don’t see what other choice we have sadly. Of course they can, but it usually takes weeks if not months of hard work in training to make the transition - I very much doubt 2 days between matches will be enough time to prepare. If Evans was being re-trained as a centre back, he’d have played there already this season given our defensive issues. You only have to look at the absolute catastrophe of Forsyth at CB to see the dangers of playing players out of position in such an important role in the team. I vaguely remember him having some games that he was good at CB, but I couldn't name you them. They didn't leave that much of an imprint on me. Evans is much better on the ball than Forsyth. The question is would you want us to continue to play out from the back with Curtis in the side or would you prefer us to play the longer game and battle for second balls in midfield & up front?
