angieram Posted June 2, 2020 Share Posted June 2, 2020 Derby County 4 - 1 Real Madrid Although a regular at weekend home and a few away matches, I couldn't get to this as a midweek game and I was stuck in Lancaster at University. Even worse, I was in an all girls' block with no other football fans so I sat in my room with a little transistor radio getting more and more excited. Every time we scored I posted an update on my bedroom door and on the final whistle I remember running up and down the corridors and stairs celebrating. I must have made an impression as I listened to the second leg in the communal area with around four or five other residents who had been intrigued by my passion.
