"He can see along the line, there's no excuse for being offside" whenever there's a marginal offside against someone playing out wide.

..even if they're only offside because the ball was played a quarter of a second too late, they never blame the passer though.

...even if they have no idea whether the linesman was correct or not to put his flag up.

Would they prefer they not to have made the run until the ball was played and have to go from a standing start? How do they think players break the offside trap? 

Barker's said it at least twice every game I've heard him on commentary. It's just so bloody lazy.
