Stargazing Satellites

Elon Musk’s Starlink satellites just went directly overhead this evening. There will be a better showing tomorrow at around 9pm our time. You’ll be able to see around 50 sequentially going over head quickly.

If you follow the below link and give it your location it’ll show you directly when and where. Also handy for other satellites. This link will take you directly to the Starlink sightings.

Saw a few tonight but were more spaced out and fainter than anticipated.

MIssed it last night but apparently this is what it looks like;

Due to pass over again around 10:30pm tonight according to this website;

https://findstarlink.com/

Furthermore the Lyrid meteor shower is due to peak tonight, hope we get a clear night I'll sit outside for an hour to see what I can see!

Just been out in the back garden for half an hour, plenty of satellites but no comets or fireballs. ☹️

Saw a group of 8 or 9 following each other about 5 or 10 past nine, might go back out again later.

Dara O'Brien was on the One Show tonight, they asked him when was the best time to see them, and the Meteor shower?

He deadpanned, it's probably best to wait until it's dark!

Wow! Just been out for 15 mins or so.

Venus is massively bright. Saw satellites going overhead sort of west to east (ish), then noticed some going south to north (ish) and then one or two just going in other directions! Never seen so many satellites.
