I think every team he has joined since leaving City he has probably taken a paycut. He clearly wants to play fpptball and is also someone who started out in the football league so i doubt would turn his nose up at it plus we have Rooney. He is on a free which will mean a little more money towards wages imo.

For example, if he was on £25k a week on a 3 year deal, that would cost us £3.9m total. Even 30k a week it would be £4.68m

Can we really get a better and experienced keeper for that much with a combined transfer fee and wage? 25k p/w is the equivalent to buying a keeper for 1.5m on 15k p/w. Or at 30k its a keeper at 2m on 17k p/w. Cant see us getting a keeper as good for that type of fee/wage.

Also, how many times can we use the 32red star player clause? Once a season or once overall?

It’s hard to imagine that we would be paying £15,000 - £20,000 per week to our top earners from now on (Rooney probably being the top earner currently while he is playing)

Steve Nicholson saying online that the club will be looking at the  goalkeeper situation but are not interested in Joe Hart.Personally, I’m glad about that.

Has he actually got anything correct in living memory!

Isn't the whole point Man City got rid of him is because he's pretty useless at kicking and distribution? Won't Cocu be looking for a sweeper keeper?

You seen Hamer try to take a goal kick? He makes Hart look like Ederson!

It’s true that Steve Nicholson doesn’t generally do transfer gossip but it’s absolutely not true that he never get’s anything correct. You can take it that if he says the club are not interested in Joe Hart, then they are not interested in Joe Hart.. Steve Nicholson usually only sticks his neck out if he has reliable information from the club.

Man City didn’t say he was useless it’s just that they got someone freakishly better on the ball as they do very little defending

Has he signed yet ?

He must be getting bored in Burnley, with nothing to do and nothing to look forward to.

Surely anything better than that.

Nothing out the norm really, apart from they can't nip round and bother the cousin due to social distancing.
