Complete this story.  Passed to me in Canada by a friend in Alestree we are obviously social distancing. ? I don't know how old it is, you may have seen it.

Solution on Wednesday if not already completed 

A TALE OF THE SEA

 

Each missing bit of the story is based on an English or Scottish football team name.

 

The sun shone _________ the day my sister, my mother and I set sail for the _________ in a very old ship. It’s _________ was riddled with holes. The _________ members were Alder, Don, Mont, Kirk and Bart (who unfortunately could not speak). They had been with the sailing company for years and had not been paid _________ too long. They were angry and disillusioned and on the second _________ of the voyage they broke into the _________ obtained weapons and rebelled. Although they treated my _________ they did not like my sister and _________ adrift on a raft. I hid in my cabin and fastened the _________ the door. The crew raided the larder but only found a smelly _________. They were so hungry that they ate almost the _________ before seeking to quench their thirst. They forced open the drinks cabinet to find that we did not _________ so they opted for a tot of whisky. “Right” said Kirk with a _________ in hand, “I’ll climb the rigging and see if I can sight land”. “Watch you don’t _________ said his mate. Meanwhile the others found a _________ treasure chest. It was not easy to open so _________ off the locks. At this moment the ship began to sink. _________ quickly. “Get _________ deck to give me a hand”, he shouted, and together they lifted the _________ to a raft. They took mother and me with them and we drifted for days before seeing an island with a harbour at the _________. After locating the _________ they sailed in and went ashore, only to find the place was deserted. However, there were signs that someone had been there recently because a _________ had been built next to the harbour. There had been a fire. _________ marks were to be seen on all the buildings and the smell of smoke hung in the _________. It broke our _________ to see the disarray. “I wonder where this road _________ us?” said Kirk. The crew was tired but they _________ with their search for survivors. We suddenly found ourselves falling into a deep pit with a _________ of water at the bottom. At this moment I woke up. It had all been a terrible nightmare.
