Pick a Team. Volume 2.

Recommended Posts

After the spectacular failure of Volume 1 in the series, boredom has led me to try again.

This time pick a team of Scottish Rams. Players must have played for Scotland (youth or full international) and must have played for Derby from the Clough period onwards.

It's a shame McMinn was never capped. He'd have 50+ caps had he been born 20 years later. Dave McKellar is the keeper as he represented Scotland U18s.

Teale, Pearson, Bryson, Masson and McEveley didn't make my team. Bryson is unlucky to miss out but you have to pick League Champions.

McKellar - Anya Mackay Forsyth Shinnie - Gemmill Rioch McGovern - Commons Martin Russell

------------------McKellar------------------

Anya--------Dailly-------Mackay----Forsyth

--------------------Rioch--------------------

McGovern-------Gemmill-----------Commons

-------------Hughes-----O'Hare--------------

Doing this makes you realise we have had some class Scottish Midfielders.

Also didn't realise Billy Hughes had passed away until i did this?

I don't think Duncan counts as he hasn't any international caps at any level, i would have picked though in front of Hughes (just for smashing Forest ?).

Yeah, I looked him up because I liked him at Derby - remember seeing him score a great long distance goal on his debut.

His scoring record throughout his career is really good so surprising he didnt play more but the wiki says he was injury proned.
