Yup and therefore we are in agreement that it doesn't matter what the pubs put in place, it's not them that has any control over the spread of the virus. Luckily you have found a pub where everyone follows these, however most others that has people under the influence are subject to impulsive behaviour, poor memory, and slowed reflexes. He's been trying to set up student and teacher remote learning profiles for all 5 schools he looks after and is rapidly losing the plot too. Sent him that link and he had a proper chuckle too. First six appointments were a bloody nightmare using my school laptop - kept freezing, no sound, ending calls etc. Everything was fine once I logged onto the system with my own chromebook. Now I have to ring those parents tomorrow to apologise and talk to them about how their children are getting on. Russia was widely reported to have experienced 3x more dead than they have admitted to. I'd like to bet you can an awful lot of countries to that list as well (Brazil, Mexico etc). Until there's a uniform global way of measuring deaths adhered to by all, these figures are pretty meaningless IMO. From an Israel source but they are well ahead of anyone on the vaccinations. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2021/01/19/pfizer-vaccine-may-prevent-transmission-coronavirus-others-israeli/ If so its great news, i think there ws some thought early on the Oxford one also prevented it but it hadnt been confirmed. At least. By December. We've been running at an estimated 1 million infections a week since then. 7 million more since. Plus vaccinations to 4 million plus. You're talking 20 million. Or 30 percent of the population. When that many have had it, you'd suspect it will start to slow down when you get to to that 50 percent mark. You can imagine a world where Covid isn't a major pain in the bum if this is the case. I was thinking we'd have a very, very long recovery - possibly never fully getting back to normal. I see testing prior to flights being a thing that happens for a good while yet, so maybe if you have had the vaccine and its proved the risk of transmission is low then you might be able to use it as an 'immunity' passport...Test or Vaccine one or the other.
