angieram
What a brilliant afternoon in contrast to Tuesday evening. We could have won both, but I think we won today by learning from Tuesday's mistake. Making that key change in midfield to reunite the Rooney Bird partnership with Knight replacing Holmes' engine further forward; coupled with Wisdom in for Davies and, of course, starting Martin, gave us just the platform we needed to take the game to Wednesday. That first half was the best we have played all season and with a bit more awareness from Waghorn we would have gone in at 4-0 up. My only slight disappointment was that we couldn't keep the clean sheet in the second half,* but when Knight went off we had no-one stopping Bannan from dictating play. Knight had given him so much attention in the first half he didn't have a chance to influence things so I understood why he was substituted as he was shattered. Davies was a good move as it gave us extra defensive height, but maybe take the forward off at the same time and get Shinnie on so we weren't short in midfield. Cocu soon rectified this with the second substitutions, bringing Shinnie into play - I thought he did well. I would love the referee to explain to us how he booked him for a tackle and then didn't issue a second booking to Bannan for an identical foul in a more attacking position moments later. Chicken! Once those second subs were made the result was never in doubt and we managed the rest of the game very well. Save the gung-ho for when we're on an unbeaten run. Today was all about three very well crafted away points. Oh - and Chris Martin - get him signed up to that new contract now! *I did predict 1-3 but would have preferred the clean sheet

Andicis
Went today, was an enjoyable game. Lawrence was brilliant, has been for quite a few games now. Really turned it around, very impressive. Martin was superb, most of the good things we did came through him. We were worse when he came off. Wednesday were disgustingly bad in the first half, we tore them apart for fun.

It's OK B4 The only spring chicken there's today was @DarkFruitsRam7's cousin once removed. Well, I say chicken, but with his history at Hillsborough... Premier ram
just got back , best first half of the season home or away , martin , lawrence, knight and bogle were unstoppable , inevitable that wendies would come out a different side 2nd half but lads stuck to the task with wiz and fozzy outstanding , great game management from cocu , now get that contract ready and signed for martin , fully deserved , said before we are a different team with him playing COYR
RIMBAUD
Martin has never been the issue in my opinion. We should ensure that we get him signed up for at least another year and devise a system and recruit players that will enhance his strengths. Id also like to see us have a genuinely pacy option for next season too.

We go a bit further forward - can still stand and sing but we don't get knocked about quite so much. It's still great - come and join us.

My daughter has dislocated her knee so I am having a whale of a time at A & E reading all the posts. Thanks guys! Something weird was going on today - we (The Rams) won away with a load of goals, and we (my daughter, wife and I) got to A & E, got seen, x-rayed, diagnosed, treated and sent home in an hour. Brilliant. Actually, a BIG shout out to A & E staff who were wonderful. And a BIG shout out to the Rams, who were wonderful!

Too late to sell him, if we don't sign him up he walks. But I bet just like when we shipped him to Fulham he just wants a contract and to be settled. Of course he'd prefer it to be here! #COYR

We would be mad not to offer him another contract,I'm sure cocu has realised what we have in him....and what we lack when he isn't in the team. It's crazy that he is still so important to us as he was under Mac 5 years ago.

Agree Chris Martin is a very good footballer, if played in the right system, with Rooney behind him, and Lawrence and Waghorn running off him, with Holmes or Knight also running into space Martin has a massive part to play for us this season and next, so yes I would deffo give him another contract.
