Think this has already been posted so apologies for plagiarism if it has....but are we looking to reign back on expenditure to fit within FFP regs that much that we are now targeting players to save on the letter printing in the club shop for the back of shirts...

Write your own material mate ?

Shame Ramage has gone, imagine him trying to pronounce his last name with no vowels in it. He’d struggle enough with Perry.

In seriousness, the lad seems to be a pretty highly rated at Crewe. Big step up from being a top league two player to making it in the championship mind, but might be worth the gamble on his potential if he’s got the natural talent. No doubt it’s just a lazy link, but it’s relatively interesting that he’s been mainly playing as a right back. Wonder if the fact were being thrown into links with RBs does maybe suggest we’re actually interested in signing one to maybe replace Bogle? If he does have attitude problems as Cocu suggested, then I’d definitely be behind moving him on for big money and obviously bringing in a replacement.

The shop always used to charge per letter - If they went back to that we'd be needing players with longer names

When was the last Crewe lad who actually made it (even at this level)?

They used to have a great production line but struggle to think of anyone for the best part of 10 years. Brayford and Bailey obviously, although they soon ended up back in league one. Nick Powell isn't exactly spectacular despite 4 or 5 years training with United.

Westwood’s still in the Prem with Burnley. Ben Marshall, Powell, Billy Jones, Maynard, Max Clayton, Matt Lund, Luke Murphy have all played in the top 2 divisions.

That great production line doesn't seem to be praised as much these days...

You can probably thank the EPPP for that, the big clubs can now take the beat young kids from anywhere around the country before they get any where near the senior level. We’ve done it ourselves recently with Bogle and Luke Thomas
