rad1919 Posted February 8, 2020 Posted February 8, 2020 Have I completely missed it or has there been no official statement as to the extent of Bielik's knee injury?

Millenniumram Posted February 8, 2020 Posted February 8, 2020 Think the only “official” word we’ve had is Cocu saying he’s out for the season. Bit odd we didn’t get an actual club statement, we’ve tended to in the past for such major injuries if I recall. But I think it’s fair to say with it being a knee injury that it’s almost certainly an ACL. In the past that has tended to be 6 months until a return to training and 9 months until a return to the pitch roughly. From that, I would hazard a guess that Bielik will have a relatively normal pre season - maybe starting later and progressing slower than others - and then be available probably after the first international break. If all goes to plan I don’t think he’ll miss much of next season. We’ll see if I’m right.
