I also think @Ewe Ram is talking about the kind of negative, destructive 'support' at the games that some of our fans seem to laughably think will magically improve the team. I don't think anyone has an issue with people criticising the team or Cocu away from games - so long as there's some perspective & fairness in their points.

100% agree. And further .. when Cocu makes his selections, our knowledge is based on what happened in the last game or two or our favourite players, pet formations etc. Cocu knows how they trained, who needs a kick, who went out when they shouldn’t, who needs some positive motivation, how the opposition are looking ( with all the tech and analysis data that is available these days ) and finally .. who has a niggle, a tight hamstring, imminent forthcoming fatherhood and a raft of other things that we just don’t know. We have a right to our opinions and feelings but going off on one about Cocu’s reasons for a particular set up / selection is barmy unless it is tempered by acknowledging we don’t have the full story.
