Van der MoodHoover
Dead at 96 (a ripe old age). Who else remembers growing up with "the quiz of the week" from Norwich with that weird revolving tinfoil knight on horseback that was the Anglia TV logo? ? Anag Ram
Oh no! I thought he was indestructible. Didn't really warm to him in the seventies when he did Sale of the Century but more recently loved his humour. Jack Dee did a funny impression of him. NP was a class act. RIP and thanks. ilkleyram
I had the pleasure, and it was just that, of sitting next to him for lunch about 10 years or so ago. He was just a thoroughly nice guy, very chatty, interested and interesting, not only with me but with all the others that were at the table. No side to him at all and then in his 80's he was as sharp as anything.
BaaLocks
If I end up being able to do the thing I love till well into my nineties, in a way that people genuinely appreciated me for, and still have all my wits about me I would think I had been blessed. He was, I'm sad that he has passed but, given we all have to go sometime, I'd hope his funeral is a roaring celebration of a life well lived. Carl Sagan
Ripe old age. Seemed to live a good life. Here's a weird unexpected moment of fun that always made me smile:
